Baggage!?

What is it? My art explores the hidden pain and emotional baggage that people accumulate over time, often without realizing it. Through perception, energy, and color, you convey how acts of hospitality—whether driven by the desire to comfort others or meet their needs—add weight to our lives. This weight, though sometimes positive, often leads to a sense of destruction, which you perceive as a form of perfection. It captures the complex interplay between the burdens we carry and the beauty found in their expression.

Growing up I’ve witnessed many wonderful people carry heavy baggage daily while showing up for others. The intent is always there, in good favor. But the truth is most people cared none of their baggage. Instead of giving up they showed up better by day. Causing more life and light than they could imagine. Ultimately becoming their best self.
